Imported from England and recommended by Rolls Royce for years, Connolly Hide Care, formerly called Connolly Hide Food, before the FDA caught wind of it being called “food”, is a lanolin waxy cream containing white spirit, intended for conditioning and cleaning your leather surfaces. Many car owners use Connolly Hide Care with much success to keep their leather hides in top condition. If your leather is in good shape and you want to keep it that way, then Connolly Hide Care might be a good option for you.
Connolly understands that automotive leather is very susceptible to showing signs of wear and tear and the damaging effects of UV radiation and aging. Connolly, using their vast knowledge of leather tanning, devised a process of preserving and nourishing it. Connolly Hide Care will nourish the leather, lubricate and penetrate each fiber for suppleness, and protect the leather from organic or exposure-related deterioration.
To apply Connolly Hide Care, the container recommends you use a soft cloth, changing cloth surfaces frequently. Many vehicle owners, however, report better results if the cream is applied with your bare hands. Apply the cream evenly, but sparingly, to all the leather surfaces in your car. Leave overnight, then buff with a soft, dry cloth.
We recommend Connolly Hide Care for solid, non-perforated leather surfaces. We have further found that Connolly Hide Care works best on vat dyed leather surfaces. Surface dyed leather does not allow the conditioner to properly penetrate into the hide.
